Tracing the development of her worship through Shakta and Tantric traditions, with attention to regional practices and key historical sites. Establishing a clear understanding of how Kali’s role was defined and transmitted over time.
1.2 Iconography: Symbolism and Meaning
A structured examination of Kali’s visual form and its symbolic components, including her posture, attributes, and relationship to Shiva. Interpreting core elements such as the sword, severed head, and garland within their historical and philosophical context. Building visual literacy to support accurate understanding and application in practice.
1.3 Devotional Framework + Practice Preparation
An outline of traditional approaches to engaging with Kali through disciplined devotional practice. Covering foundational methods such as mantra repetition, use of simple ritual structure, and engagement with established hymns.
