Eating Well in India:
What to Expect
In India, sharing a meal is a sacred act of community and hospitality. Most meals on this pilgrimage will be nourishing, freshly prepared, and largely vegetarian, reflecting the Sattvic traditions of the region. We prioritize high standards of food hygiene and will provide plenty of safe, bottled water throughout the journey. Please understand that while we do our very best to accommodate specific dietary needs, India can be complex for strict or multi-layered dietary restrictions. We invite you to share your requirements with us in the registration form below, and we will work within what is realistically possible to support your well-being. Typical meals include seasonal vegetables, lentils (dal), rice, and traditional breads (rotis), all cooked with care and prayer.

In India, we also invite you to expect the unexpected. Things can be messy or uncomfortable at times, and we will provide you with a clear list of essentials to help you stay comfortable, steady, and prepared.
